Remember, as a member of the Alumni Association, you receive free admission to all Northtown home games and athletic events, and a 10% discount on Northtown gear in the bookstore. And if you are in the area, we hope you will also take the time to come back to Northtown to share how you are doing with the faculty, staff and students.

Alumni Update: Danielle Du'Prey, Class of 2005

After graduating from Northtown in 2005, Danielle attended Columbia College where her major was photography. However, at the end of her sophomore year love stepped in and on January 5, 2008, Danielle married Steven Sullivan. Steven is a SGT in the United States Marine Corp. The happy couple now lives in San Diego. The new Mrs. Sullivan plans on going back to art school once they settle down on the west coast. Megan Summerville, also a Northtown Class of 2005 graduate, was Danielle's maid of honor. Congratulations, Danielle!

Alumni Update: Gloria Anania, Class of 2008

I enjoyed being a Northtown student. Being in an environment with students and faculty meant a lot to me. I was able to express my thoughts and ideas in both writing and english classes. Being part of the law class my senior year was an awsome experience, especially with Mr. Novick's wisdom and fun way of teaching subjects that needed more attention. I will never forget my expereince at Northtown Academy. I discovered my identity during the four years that I was a student there and I am happy to say that I've discovered my future career and personal goals. The next stop for me is a military experience I won't soon forget. I will be leaving for Afghanistan on September 26, 2008. I look forward to sharing my experiences with my Northtown family when I return.

Alumni Update: Maria D. Ochoa, Class of 2005

I have been attending NEIU for the past three years while majoring in Biology. Last year, through the NSE exchange programme I spent a semester abroad in Puerto Rico, where I met the love of my life. I recently moved to San Juan and am very excited to begin my life with him. While living in San Juan I will be attending UPR-Rio Piedras, where I will be majoring in Nutricion y Dietetica. It will take a while longer to graduate, but people matter, and to me, the most important thing in life is having those people in your life who you can not live with out. It isn't until you've found something that is better than living, that you can begin to live, as my fellow NTA alumni Jessica Vasquez likes to say. I still keep in touch with my closest friends from Northtown and I love them. I will never forget the moments of laughter that comprised my life as a kid at Northtown. The faculty was also pretty amazing! Of course, who could ever forget our advisory teacher, Mr. Bell! I loved classes at Northtown, I met amazing people, made lifelong memories and grew as an artist there.
